IAM Abiding in Christ

John 15:7 NKJV If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.

Abide: verb: 1: to remain stable or fixed in a state 2: to continue in a place

The word abide makes one assumption: We at some point reset our lives in Jesus. When you made the decision to enter into a relationship with Jesus, your time of abiding in him started. I don’t usually like the comfort zone as a place, but the Jesus zone works as a place of perfect peace.

When we abide in Jesus the person, his words take hold in our lives as well. God delivers to combo deal of the real Jesus, and his powerful words to us. Jesus living inside of us, speaks to us through his words. I want all the voices in my head to originate from Jesus.

voices-in-my-head

When the voices that influence me and words I repeat to others come from insecurity, sin, anger, bitterness and hate, I lose my way. I hurt others and I hurt God. Just when I think the devil has accomplished an evil plan of hurt and lies, I still have a choice.
I can hurdle down the self hatred, depression, sin cycle. Or I can choose to run back to the place where Jesus is. I pray you have the strength to ask forgiveness, and get back into the Jesus zone. Fall on his grace and mercy for strength.

When Jesus says “if you will, then I will” He speaks a powerful promise. When the words are in the color red in my bible, I pay more attention to what’s said. The power to overcome our sins and the world’s attacks rests in God’s word. The action of allowing the living word to take hold in your life defines abiding in Christ.

Then by the grace of God, we abide in Jesus and his words take hold of our lives, the most amazing promise waits for us. Ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.

I have a long list of things to ask for, starting with internal transformation and healing for me. The power to see God’s miracles in our lives comes from the promise of abiding in Jesus. The power of God’s living word in your life, leads to the ability to pray and ask for whatever we desire!

The faith to move mountains comes from knowing God.
The power to see God change the angry hate filled person lives inside of you through Jesus!

Simple Equation: You adide in Jesus. Jesus’ words abide in you
Output: Ask whatever you desire, and it shall be done.

Ask Jesus to make his home inside of you
Ask Jesus to make you stable
Ask Jesus to strengthen you to continue in the place where he dwells

Let’s declare the truth about our identity today!
IAM Abiding in Jesus
IAM the Temple where Jesus dwells
IAM Inhabited by the Word of God.
IAM filled with the power to see any miracle done by the name of Jesus

IAM Saved by Grace

Colossians1:6 This same Good News that came to you is going out all over the world. It is bearing fruit everywhere by changing lives, just as it changed your lives from the day you first heard and understood the truth about God’s wonderful grace.

Webster’s Ninth Collegiate Dictionary puts as its first definition of grace, “unmerited divine assistance given man for his regeneration or sanctification.”

grace blog

We must understand the facts of God’s Grace. No action of our own makes us worthy of God’s Grace. I want to encourage you to stop trying to bridge the gap with your efforts. Shield your mind and heart with the thoughts of trying to earn God’s grace. God gives grace because of his Love for us. Jesus paid it all when he died on the cross for us.

None of us deserved it. Yet God poured it out for us. That’s the good news that saved us. God saved you by his grace from your collision course with destruction. Every man and woman who does not have a relationship with Christ takes the same path, until they choose to fall on God’s grace for their life.

Do you remember the day your heart and mind finally understood God’s grace? That was the day when our Divine God started the regeneration process inside of you. Allow God’s amazing grace to change and transform you.

“Raised To Life” by Elevation Worship

Precious compassion that pours
From the wounds that have won our salvation
Sin was strong but the Savior is stronger
Come let us worship Him

Great was the debt that we owed
And how high was the price of our healing
Paid in full by the One who is worthy
Come let us worship Him

Raised to life with Christ the Savior
In His name a new creation
Now our song will rise
Adoring Christ the Lord

Death overcome by the Word
That was spoken before it was finished
Jesus Saves is our song everlasting
Come let us worship Him

Raised to life with Christ the Savior
In His name a new creation
Now our song will rise
Adoring Christ the Lord

Sin was strong
But Jesus is stronger
Our shame was great
But Jesus You’re greater

Jesus You’re greater

Raised to life with Christ the Savior
In His name a new creation
Now our song will rise
Adoring Christ the Lord

Sin was strong
But Jesus is stronger
Our shame was great
But Jesus You’re greater

IAM a Messenger of Reconciliation

2 CORINTHIANS 5:19-21 NLT For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!” For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.

Jesus sets us free. He clears our sins. Once you accept this truth into your life, your life changes. No one counts your sins against you. God sent his son Jesus as a sacrifice for our sins. Jesus sacrifice made us right with God. That’s a wonderful message!

God immediately gives us a mission: to share this amazing message with as many people as possible. We have one goal and calling. Don’t waste any time with condemnation, judgment, style points or heavy theology. I wonder why so many so called Christian organizations spend time with the minor things. Why do they spend little time on the most important message of Love? Then I realize because the more they waste time, the more the enemy wins. Friends, don’t allow your life to get off track. As ambassadors of God, we have a single purpose: a ministry of reconciliation.

God makes his appeal to the world through us. You have a voice and a message! Jesus is asking us to tell the world “Come back to God!”

Jesus asking us to come back to God, starts with one initial premise. You started off in God. God started your life. God created you. A relationship with God is your rightful place.

Father-and-child

God makes his appeal to the world through your amazing testimony. When you chose to return to God, a miracle happened in your life. When you accepted God and asked Him to come into your life, an amazing transformation took place. Someone must share the greatest love story with the world. Only you can tell your story. No one tells it better than you. Your unique life, gifts, vocation, skills, voice and beautiful personality deliver God’s message of love to the world.

God already called us to his service. We all have the same calling: Share God’s love and mercy with others until they come back to him. God asks us to take on his relentless character as we carry out his calling. That’s the 99%. The last 1% is your unique spiritual gifts, perspective, passion and burden for the lost. Take some time and write these down: Who? What? And Where? God answers the “HOW”: With his message of Love and reconciliation. God already answered the “WHEN” question: as soon as possible!

With that sheet of paper that has your Who, What and Where, also write these proclamations about your identity!

IAM a Messenger of Love
IAM an Ambassador of the Kingdom
IAM an appeal to all mankind
IAM a Witness with an amazing testimony

IAM Forgiven Much

LUKE 7:47-50 NLT “I tell you, her sins—and they are many—have been forgiven, so she has shown me much love. But a person who is forgiven little shows only little love.”  Then Jesus said to the woman, “Your sins are forgiven.” The men at the table said among themselves, “Who is this man, that he goes around forgiving sins?” And Jesus said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.”

I am not perfect by any means.  Far far far from it.  The joy and love that I feel when I think about the horrible things I have done and said, that have been forgiven is amazing.  I know that I have been forgiven much.  Because of that knowledge, I can only love others and my God with much love as well.

We have an opportunity to come to the savior, and fall on our knees and say, “God, I can’t do this on my own.   My own willpower is not enough!  Please forgive me, and give me strength to love you and honor you!”

God willingly forgives us and loves us.  I believe we also need to forgive ourselves.  Yes, there is a battle going on inside your heart and mind everyday.  We have won the victory already through Jesus, but we need to embrace that truth and power daily.

I want to encourage you to respond in love to God because of the amazing forgiveness we receive.  Also to respond in power because of your Faith in God has saved you.  Power & Love: both important for you daily victory!

I love what Jesus says to the woman: Go in peace.

Peace is having zero turmoil.  Zero unrest, zero doubts!

True peace is knowing, where you stand in Love.

IAM Given a Gift

EPH 2:8-10 NLT God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

Friends, the wonderful gift of salvation and life is the greatest gift that we could ever receive.  It’s there waiting for all of us.  We are the recipients of the gift.  The greatness is in the gift and the gift giver.  We did not deserve it or earn it, but God graciously gives it to us.  Today, I want to encourage you to keep a proper perspective.  Not to lower ourselves and consider ourselves worthless.  Because God loves us so much, and that fact of being loved by God makes our idenity powerful.  There is no boasting in being given a gift by the skin of our teeth.  I hope there is a feeling of gratitude and thankfulness for the amazing grace we have received.

God saw something and planned something amazing for your life, long long ago.  That the amazing story of redemption is being written now as we speak.  That amazing story is resulting in a masterpiece that God is forming everyday.  The masterpiece that God is making out of your life is not meant to be sitting on the wall of a museum behind security glass.  God had a plan for you to do good things with that masterpiece.

 keep-calm-cause-god-loves-you-15

Let’s put down God’s Plan
1. He gave us the gift salvation because He loved us.
2. That gift of salvation working in us makes us an amazing masterpiece
3. The story and power of redemption of your life transformation into a masterpiece is a good good work for others to see.  For you to testify with your life, the amazing grace God offers to all man.

That’s the generic version:  allow God to form you, and mold you into the masterpiece he sees for your life.
Be a living testimony that God’s amazing grace is a gift that everyone is worthy to receive.
Encourage others to grow in their self worth because of the value of the gift and gift giver
Let God give you his heart for a specific purpose, passion or calling.
Keep on being awesome because our God is awesome!

Listening to You Opened Up My Eyes by Martyn Layzell #nowplaying http://grooveshark.com/s/You+Opened+Up+My+Eyes/4zDpia?src=5

Let’s celebrate the fact that we we were once dead, but now we’re alive!

Martyn Layzell : You Opened Up My Eyes

Not by words and not by deeds. But by grace we have been saved
And it is the gift of God, the faith we need
Not by strength and not by might. But with power from on high
So that we can only boast, boast in You

For once I was dead, now I’m alive. For freedom I’m set free
And in Your great love, life do I find. You opened up my eyes
Not with eloquence or fame. But with weakness and in shame
For the power of Your strength. Is then revealed
And the message of Your cross. Seemed such foolishness to some
But the mercy of Your grace is hidden there

What mercy, what mercy, what mercy beneath Your cross
Your mercy, Your mercy, Your mercy beneath Your cross

IAM a Lover

Romans 12:9-10 NLT Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good. Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other.

hug

Do you ever hug someone, and it’s pretty weak or empty?
And then you hug someone else, and they really squeeze you  Almost taking the breath out of you?
I can admit that in the area of hugging, I still need some work and I am improving.
It’s my prayer to become a world class hugger!
One of my daughters is less than 9 years old and she is truly full of love and a world class grade a hugger! I need to learn from her for sure!

It’s pretty obvious that people can tell when you care about them or not. And if it’s not inside of you, it takes a lot of energy to act as if you care. Ask God to fill you with his perfect love.  The real thing, unconditional love.  So you don’t have to fake it anymore.
When I take the time to meditate about how much God loves me despite my weaknesses and mistakes, how dare I think of myself better than anyone else?  God loved me, so I must love my brothers and sisters.
God forgives my sins, so I must forgive others.
It’s a natural overflow of my heart because, I have been set free.
I hope its not in the feeling of, well, God won’t forgive me of my sins, so I better forgive that other person. That’s begrudging and in all truth not genuine.

Hate what is wrong!  This is the only time I ever use this word. HATE. HATE Evil, Hate the sin that destroys, Hate the lies that hurt us and hold us back.

stop-scaring-me
You have wounds, I have wounds, and if we spend more time focus-sing on ourselves and thinking about what’s in it for me, then we have zero time or motivation to ever love one another.
We lash out, hurt, verbally or physically abuse each other, because we are hurting inside. That’s the way of the world.

The perfect opposite of hate is Love.  Hold tightly to God’s Love!
Ask God to fill your heart with his perfect Love!

perfect_love_by_zlayahozyayka-d316tan
God’s love heals your wounds.  God’s love casts out all lies.
And God’s love is what allows us to truly love each other.

Take delight in honoring each other. When I think about taking delight, I see people standing up and clapping for each other.  Celebrating the win’s.  Taking the time to just verbally encourage and bless each other.   Not just the people we are supposed to love, but what about the strangers too?

I boldly proclaim today, that I am not 100% there yet, but I am getting there. I say these statements as my heart’s cry and desire to grow into a lover of all men and women.  As God is healing me, and renewing my heart and mind, he is perfecting how I Iove others.

And it’s my wish and prayer for you as well!

I take delight in blessing them
