I AM Inhabited by the Holy Spirit

Hebrew: Ruwach: Violent Exhale, Blast of breath, Strong Wind.

Greek: Pneuma: breath, wind, current of air, strong breeze.
Holy spirit comes to breathe new life into us.
Romans 8:11The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you.  And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.
The holy spirit, is the Spirit of God.
Its the same power that raised Jesus from the Dead.
That same spirit lives in You!
He will give us the same life.
John 6:63 The Spirit alone gives eternal life. Human effort accomplishes nothing. And the very words I have spoken to you are spirit and life.
Nothing Else works.
Human effort accomplishes nothing!
I know that I try to fix things, I try the world’s tactics to solve situations.
But you know what? I am a fool because, I try everything else, then I turn to the Holy Spirit.
Let’s wise up friends:  Let the Holy Spirit be our first and only option.
It’s the life and power that raises the dead.. then I think it’s enough for every situation.
This is an old school song from Keith Green:
Listen to the Passion, Let the words and minister to you

“Rushing Wind” was written by Green, Keith Gordon / Green, Melody.
Rushing wind blow through this temple

Blowing out the dust within
Come and breathe your breath upon me
I’ve been born again

Holy Spirit, I surrender
Take me where you want to go
Plant me by your living waters
Plant me deep so I can grow

Jesus, you’re the one, who’ll set my spirit free
Use me Lord, glorify, your Holy Name through me

Separate me from this world Lord
Sanctify my life for you
Daily change me to your image
Help me bear good fruit

Every day you’re drawing closer
Trials come to test my faith
But when all is said and done Lord
You know, it’s been worth the wait

Jesus, you’re the one, who’ll set my spirit free
Use me Lord, glorify, your Holy Name through me

Rushing wind blow through this temple
Blowing out the dust within
Come and breathe your breath upon me
For I’ve been born again

I AM at Rest, I AM at Peace

EXO 31:17 NLT It is a permanent sign of my covenant with the people of Israel. For in six days the lord made heaven and earth, but on the seventh day he stopped working and was refreshed.’”
You Bro! Yo Sis!
God worked 6 days and then rested on the 7th day.
If God did it… maybe you should consider it too.
What does observing a proper Sabbath mean to me?
How do I carry that out?

Focus on Restoration, Relaxation and Renewal
Stop working for wages or competing for rewards
Playing an relaxing,  reading spiritual material just because I want to.
Going for a walk
Spending time with girls and my wife.

No agenda, no errands.
Worshiping God, meditating.

Celebrating Freedom.
Loving God

As we are out there killin’ it all week.
Conquering all week, we can get self centered.
Well… the Sabbath brings us back to the true source and proper understanding that God is the power

Take time to rest before we get tired, before we get burnt out.

In the army, do you know when they stop marching?
Before they get tired!

In order for me the best version of Me.
I must also learn to be at peace, and allow time for one day of rest.
I AM on my Sabbath.
I AM at rest
I AM recharging my spiritual batteries
I AM spending time with my family, leave me alone!
Action Steps: Write down the important things that must be done.
6 days of work. 1 day of worship
If you are in Sunday Ministry, then Monday can be your day off.  Friday can be your holy day of rest.
Keep it Holy.
Keep it sacred

YOU ARE! I AM! C’MON Brother!

Romans 12:5 NIV So in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.

Being a part of a group, helps us know more about who we are.

In the past week in Los Angeles, i was able to see so many of our team members, flow in the Holy Spirit in line with how God created them.

It was awesome to see the amount of love and compassion some of our team members had as they were ministering to God’s people.

We saw people working with their hands to minister
We saw people building projects, cleaning, organizing, administrating.

To get 14 people + 1 from indiana all safely to one place with zero drama, across the country. That takes some serious skill!

Our team was one body.  One unique body for one purpose.
Each person filled a role uniquely perfect for our trip!

I hope looking back , even one week later, you can feel and know that.

Look in the mirror and say “I AM SPECIAL”

How do we learn more about our God given uniqueness? By being a part of a group!
Our natural instinct is to pull back and want to be isolated. But that’s the trap of the enemy.
We think we need to go into the desert in solitary confinement, but we don’t
(There may be a season for alone time with God, don’t get me wrong)
But I believe our uniqueness in God shines as we are part of a team.

Now as we are back home, please use the groupme for fun, for prayer requests, for praise reports!
But now, how can we include others from our Church?

Just like Mark testified : GET IN A GROUP!
Speak up in that group
Move in the same power of the Holy Spirit with others.

God still has a dream for our people in NJ/Philly
We are the city of Brotherly Love are we not?

We 15 people can make an impact!  I believe we already have, its just now stacking 1 good day, into 2 good days, and 1 good week into 2 good weeks.

We are one body.
We are one Love
We are one Army
We are advancing God’s Kingdom, making right what is wrong.

1. You are not alone
2. You are Loved by more than you think
3. You are created by God for an amazing purpose
4. You are the bee’s knees (as michael would say)

Now take the time to switch “You are” with “I AM” and saw that to yourself outloud in the mirror!

GEN 1:31 NLT Then God looked over all he had made, and he saw that it was very good! And evening passed and morning came, marking the sixth day.

He looked over all HE had made, and saw that it was VERY GOOD. !
He sees you!  He says you are VERY GOOD!

Love you guys! Have a great day!

How Do We Talk to God?

not my own words, taken from

Take a Fresh Look at Prayer

Jesus certainly prayed a lot. In fact, all Jewish people learned how to pray when they were very young. Keeping this in mind, it’s all the more interesting to read that Jesus’ disciples asked him to teach them to pray. “One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said to him, ‘Lord, teach us to pray’” (Luke 11:1).

Now here’s my theory about this rather unique request: Since these Jewish disciples already knew how to pray based on their cultural upbringing, I don’t think they were asking Jesus to teach them how to pray. Instead, I believe they were saying, “We don’t know how to pray like you do—to receive that life-giving experience that comes not from just saying a memorized prayer, but from being in conversation with God. Can you teach us to pray with passion, like we mean it?”

Jesus’ response, of course, is the best-known prayer in the world, the Lord’s Prayer. He said to his disciples, “Okay, I can teach you. After this manner, pray this. . . .” I believe Jesus then did what all the rabbis have done down through the ages when instructing their students in any area: he taught his followers the topics of prayer that they should bring before God.

If you want to reinvigorate your conversations with God, I encourage you to make the Lord’s Prayer your own. Take each of the seven phrases, putting the idea in your own words and then personalizing it.

Think about how you want to address God in a warm, loving way. Consider which of his names you want to remember and honor (our Peace, our Protector, our Provider, and the list goes on and on). Ask for his will to be done before your own agenda. And when you do ask for your needs to be met, invite God to meet them in all areas of your life, not just the urgent ones. Ask him for forgiveness and ask his help to forgive others in the same way.

Tell him you need him to help you avoid whatever tempts you personally. If you’re tempted to go to the mall to shop and overspend, then ask him to help you with that. If you’re tempted to chat online with someone you shouldn’t, ask him to be with you so that you don’t go there. Whatever your temptation is, invite him to strengthen and fortify you. Take a stand against the enemy in your life. And finally, have faith in God’s ability to accomplish everything. This fresh approach will make prayer one of the most enjoyable parts of your day. Amen!

Do You Love Me?

Mark 12:30 And you must love the lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.’

What do we think about the most?

All the time?  What is our default?

What is the first website we visit everyday?

Can we take some time to examine our thoughts and reflections and activities.

And I can be honest, it’s not God all the time.  I have stress, fears, anger and doubts.

But I want to Love God freely and joyously.

What is my prayer? That my Love, passion, thoughts and everything would be consumed by God.

I don’t want to do it, because it’s a commandment.

Just because I really love Him.

GOD! I want to love you More!

That’s my Prayer!

Romans 8:35 Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death?

Jesus is alive, He is loving me right now

He is at the right hand of God.

Nothing can separate Me from the Love of Christ.  Even  now.

Never, never.

His love is not a past tense, or a love of someone who is gone or dead.

The verse also makes it pretty clear:  You have zero guarantee of avoiding persecution, hunger, destitution, danger, or threat of death.

But You will have his love.  And is that enough for you?

My Prayer is that my life will be filled with Love.  And that God’s love will pour out from me, into others and back to God.

Enjoy Jesus Culture as they sing: Nothing Can Separate Us!

Do You See What I See?

What do you see when you look in the mirror?

In the past, I would see a loser. I would see a failure.

But I have started to make serious changes in my life.

I discovered the power in the Great I AM.

God has spoken clearly to me.

Through his Holy Spirit, his wonderful word (The Bible)

Sammy:  You are my Child.  You are my Creation.

I made you for a special purpose.

You are not some cog in the system, just chugging along living a cruel joke until it’s your time to die.

That’s NOT LIFE!

Or that’s not a Life that I want!

I have made so many mistakes, that I think my scars and self hatred, made it so hard to see my true reflection in the mirror.

I just found this simple youtube video.  Brad Austin, thank you for your contribution to the world.

Friend, I see you.

I hope you can see the beauty in your reflection

God made you.

He made you to Love.

If you are reading these words: “I Love you” too.

Stop staying I am not lovable

I am not strong enough

I am not smart enough

I can’t do that

I didn’t go to college

I hate myself
